Here are other tricks you can use with your Nokia 6233:

1. Press the # key to toggle between 2 profiles.
2. Use the headset for voice commands
3. Use it as a mobile notepad
4. Press call button to send a message
5. Insert a pictograph
6. View file info with one button
7. Stop music player with end call button

lets discuss each trick….

1. Press the # key to toggle between 2 profiles.
in standby mode (meaning no other applications running) press the # sign… after about 2 seconds… the profile will change….
Unfortunately, you can only change from 2 profiles.. General and Silent.

2. Use the headset for voice commands
I’m sure you’re familiar with the use of 6233 headset.
Press the button on the box where the microphone is locate (its the one you use to change radio channels or play your next song).. hold it until you hear a beep sound.. After that, say something (ummm.. a name on your phonebook or a profile) then you’ll here the phone say the items that matches your “search”.
I’ve used this neat trick several times now - changing from one profile to another.

3. Use it as a mobile notepad
Sometimes i tend to forget things.. numbers, names, items, etc.. so what i do is i write it down on my phone… not as a text message (sms) but in my notepad.
You see that phone can store up to 30 notes using the notepad application.. but each note can store a whole lyric of a song.. a poem or text up to 3,000 characters.
Its on my standby screen.. one click.. and its open!

4. Press call button to send a message
I’ve also used this on other nokia phones. instead of pressing the send button.. i just press the call button (the green button that you use to make or accept calls).
Its faster to use.

5. Insert a pictograph
one time, i was exploring my phone.. i saw the function to insert a small picture/graphics to something.. now i cant remember it… maybe you guys can check where it is… i tried reading the manual… but it doesn’t say anything about it.
message me if you’ve found it.. okies? thanks!

6. View whole filename with one button.(updated 11/3/07)
I’m sure you have files on your phone with long filenames. Well to view the whole name of the file, go to the file then press the pound sign (#).

7. Stop music player with end call button (updated 01/02/08)
When you’re playing songs, you don’t have to keep the music player open (to save battery). If you’re on standby mode and you want to turn off the music player, hold the end call button (the red button) for 2-3 seconds.
